SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
