The education and learning landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is within the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school model is not the only effective means of studying. CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their offering.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are presented at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-yr length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites

These courses commence at NCV level two and the minimum amount necessity would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass check here in Mathematics.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel two, they would then have attained a grade 10 certification. NCV Level 3 would be grade 11 and NCV Level here four is grade 12.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, becoming comparable to a National Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV level 2 which happens to be equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which kind of students are suited to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that traditional schooling is not automatically the only real means of turning out to be an artisan or getting competent so if a student knows from an early age what their passions are, the NCV programme is in fact properly fitted to that student.
